A Ghaznavid Empire was the state in the area of now's Afghanistan that existed from 963 to 1187. It was created under Turkish Khan Sebük Tigin with the city Ghazna (Ghazni) as capital, replacing a Samanids. Sebük Tigin processed himself lord of 100% a present territory of Afghanistan and of the Punjab. Inside 997, Mahmud, a boy of Sebük Tigin, succeeded his father upon his demise, & by using him Ghazni & the Ghaznavid dynasty keep close at hand be perpetually associated.
